About Corn Creek Water Fowlers

Corn Creek Water Fowlers is a tight-knit crew of waterfowl hunters who chase mallards through the sloughs, flooded corn, and cold morning skies of the upper Midwest. What started as a few friends dragging a layout blind into the mud has grown into a season-long tradition built on early wake-ups, dependable dogs, and the kind of stories that only happen when you are sitting in a blind before sunrise.

This site is a home for those stories. The photo mosaic on the main page collects moments from the field, from group shots at the truck to close-ups of full straps and the quiet trail-camera views of the ponds we hunt. We built it for fellow waterfowlers who want to see what a season looks like when it is lived one hunt at a time, and for anyone curious about what it means to be part of a hunting crew that values the resource, the retrievers, and the morning flight equally.

The crew is made up of longtime hunters and newer shooters alike. We share blinds, swap spots, and pass down the small details that separate a good morning from a great one: how to read the wind over a spread, when to pick up and when to wait it out, and how to keep a retriever steady when the birds are cupped and committed. We follow state and federal seasons, respect bag limits, and put the same care into our gear and our dogs that we put into the hunts themselves.

Corn Creek Water Fowlers is built and maintained by the crew, for the crew. Every photo, every caption, and every season entry on this site comes from someone who was actually in the blind. If you hunt, if you have a good dog, or if you just want to watch the sunrise over a spread of decoys with people who get it, you are the kind of person this place is for.

We will keep adding to the gallery as the seasons roll on, logging each hunt, and sharing the mud, the corn, and the cold mornings that make it all worth it.
